Please contact PCF Assistant Director to schedule individual orientation if you are new to working at the greenhouses and prefer to meet in person. Meetings will be scheduled based on availability.
Worker Protection Standard (WPS) Safety Training Sessions will be hosted remotely for PCF researchers and workers each semester. This safety training will be offered for all greenhouse workers and growth chamber users who work or perform tasks in an area where a pesticide has been used or a restricted-entry interval has been in effect in the past 30 days.
Greenhouse users (students, faculty, and technicians) who are renting, working within, or using space at the Plant Care Facility are considered to be workers* under the 2015 revision of the US Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) Worker Protection Standard (WPS). The Worker Protection Standard (WPS) aims to reduce the number of pesticide exposure incidents for agricultural workers and their families.
